Professor of Strategic Management and Organization


Education

Doctor of Philosophy, University of Toronto (1981); majored in Organizational Behaviour, with Personnel and Statistics as supporting fields. Thesis "A Test of the Vroom-Yetton Contingency Model of Leadership Behavior".

Master of Business Administration, McMaster University (1976); majored in Quantitative Methods. 

Bachelor of Mathematics from the Co-op program of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo (1973); specialized in statistics and computer science. 

High School at West Hill Collegiate Institute in Scarborough (Toronto) Ontario (1969).

Academic journal article reviews have been written for the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, Human Relations, Leadership Quarterly, The MIT Sloan Management Review, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management Inquiry and the Academy of Management Review. I have also reviewed Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada applications, textbook proposals, and papers for the annual conferences of the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada, the Academy of Management, and the Western Academy of Management.

From 1988 to 1991, I was a member of the planning committee for the professional development of Administrative and Professional Officers at the University of Alberta and served as their academic coordinator for their annual conferences in those years.
