Presenter: Dr. Lloyd Steier
William Shakespeare is commonly described as a “writer for all ages.” His work endures because it speaks to the human experience. This presentation explores and examines Shakespearean themes that might be usefully applied to working with–and in–family businesses. With reference to King Lear, Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet it explores themes such as succession, identity, monetizing love, sibling rivalry, obligation, and working with the next generation. Lloyd recently presented this session at the FFI conference in London, UK. It was also featured on CBC radio.
